The Office Of Government and Community Relations

  • Develops and maintains regular working relationships with members of the United States House and Senate, government administrators and officials, and other individuals who can facilitate the development of positive relationships between the federal government and the University.
  • Establishes relationships in Washington, DC with senior-level appointed and elected officials to maintain their awareness of proposals and legislative matters that may affect the University.
  • Confers with federal officials concerning the interests of the University.
  • Assists in the organization and execution of special events, including Presidential debates and campus visits by government officials, prominent political leaders and other national opinion leaders.
