serves as the University and health system’s primary representative to all state and federal government entities including managing day-to-day advocacy efforts during legislative session. Working closely with state and federal elected officials and their staff, governmental agencies, peer academic institutions, and other key political contacts, we advocate on a wide range of issues impacting our community including appropriations, research funding, and higher education, health care, and immigration policy.
